In the Web 2.0 era the ability to social network via the net is an important aspect of daily life for many people.
Students begin their involvement at an early age, using sites such as Moshi Monsters and Club Penguin before moving on to more adult orientated sites such as Facebook and MySpace. We need to help students to use these sites in a positive way, helping them to be mindful of privacy whilst at the same time using the platform to connect and communicate.
